Blogging is becoming more popular by the day. We all do so because it makes us look hip and cool between our mates (go on admit it :P). Blogging became so popular to an extent of a band "The sprites" -NO I don't know 'em- :P dedicating a song in their album to owning a blog.

I started blogging basically out of frustrations. I needed to write down some of my thoughts ( not all of it though .......) Thats how my blog name came about... JUST A THOUGHT ....... LOOKING AT LIFE !
I need it to be heard, but not to offend some people directly.
And I am beginning to enjoy it, eventhough I have some problems with the layout, pages that wont load, couldnt post pictures, the neowork is a nightmare... it is all endless for an "IT blur queen"
Anyway I just try to stick to the basics. At the same time I have enjoyed reading other blogs and in the course have made some friends along the way.

Munther I disagree. Blogging does NOT make you look cool amongst your friends. Far from it actually. None of my friends (apart from 1 who blogs herself) know that I blog cozI like the anonymity.
I blog because it is one more way to procrastinate and put off doing all the important stuff that needs to be done.

Amoontie:I see where you're coming from my friend, I think it makes a healthy way to release all the frustration. It seems as if loadsa people tend to use it as a release valve. About the problems you're facing, well, they are mainly related to the account being set as a blogger beta (That's what Lorena aka dynamite :P says)

Why? Well I start my blog because I was in a need of share what i was felling ...with some one that I dont even know ... but one day YAYYYY hubby told me are you haveing a blog in the net? my eyes were blank.... i say glups.. yeah hon why? he say I was just watching all out family pictures at there ... shit .. I run and start deliting some of my post ... so now my blog is more about " My family" Sara. and my friends.. not about how I fell .... (sigh)... any way I like to come and read and share , and laugth... some day whenever im ready I will open a new blog .. (prived) wahahahahahah

Hello Dynamite ! For gods sake how many nicks do you need ? :P Anyway about the image posting, this could be a very scary experience ! People still tend to look at it as a breach of privacy ! Unlike my cousin I still feel uncomfortable when it comes to posting my personal photos but one day I get rid of those shackles ! ;) :) I like the way you use your blog as a record of your daughter growing up and her everyday mischief ! I loved the Dinar post ! :D

Well I find blogging one of the best ways to express how you're feeling or just projecting opinions in a more powerful way.
I've never thought about it as a means of delaying things, interesting though I'd have to say.

i have that very same template! great taste dude!!
i first came to know about blogs through a friend so i decided to have one on my own..
at first , it was sort of an online diary..that no1 knew about coz i didn't actually want people to read it.
then i deleted it and made another one..that turned out to be completely pointless and petty..so deleted it..
after that, i kinda took a 2 months break, then made an arabic blog...after a month i got bored of it and deleted it.. i also had a blog just for dead people's pix..it freaked out alot of people and not knowing why i made it in the first place i decided its time to delete it too. :)
now, my current blog is about entertaining people a lil bit..and some rantings that i feel like typing every once in a while...
i get bored easily..maybe thats the prob after all.

Back to the subject of the post :P, I think that you need to find a style that suits you in blogging and then stick to it, I guess that's why you've been through loadsa blogs ! :P I am glad that I didn't get to see your dead people's blog BTW (I am quite a wuss !) :P :D

once upon a long ago, i used to love writing. it was a form of release for me. it was very therapeutical. with time, however, the busier i got, the less time i had for writing.. to the point where i felt i'd 'lost it'.
now i blog to try to get that therapy factor back. plus, we all like to "occassionally" whine and complain, so why not do it online where ur audience might be more willing to listen (read) than ur real friends who may just tell u to cut the crap and stop whining! =D
oh, and how, a friend told me about it about a year and a half ago.. so i tried it out. i didnt really get into it till about 6 months later.
ok, now, where's my penny? :)

We started some 6 months ago and we are just beginning to pick up on the habit, so I guess you're right blogging needs a nurturing period of 6 months "maybe" or going through 4 blogs (the Still Breathing scenario :P) until you start to settle in the world of blogging !
Erm about the pennies cuz WE owe our friends around 5-6 pennies could you give em' to them ? I am skint ! :P

if my friends found out that i blog they would think i'm the biggest loser... i started blogging because i don't like to talk about my feelings in real life, i'm very gaurded, so i started an anonymous blog to talk about that specific thing that was bothering me, when i got over it i deleted my blog, and i quit, i'm back to blogging now because its a place where i can talk about myself all the time and i love it, i like hearing strangers comments it makes me feel down to earth... though i want to remain anonymous!

i started blogging cuz i love to write. i also feel like if i dont get a lot of stuff outta my head, i'll explode. ;)
i think also that living away from my own country and seeing things that i disagree w/ or really like about the middle east helps me w/ my day to day struggles and life.... if that makes sense. :) so i blog about it.

Just picking up on the point made by tooners, I actually think (could be so wrong here) that blogging started because people wanted to write about things that they disagreed with. Add on top of that the limitations of the local media coverage.

I started blogging purley for entertainment,like to take the piss if a driver had a crash(mostley me)then other serious things happen like someone dying and it stems out from their?i do try to keep it funny though lol.
