Sectarinian Molotov Attacks
It seems that the winds of sectarianism is blowing at Bahrain, yet again ! Having the problem at Iraq is bad enough but to have it over here is just ridiculous !
The Molotov attacks of late, brings back the horrid memories of the sectarian protests of the mid 90s ! Why do we have to suffer of this bullshit yet again, I don't know, you'd think people would learn ! I mean why on earth would you attack a bus of wardens who's main job is to guard; wait for this; an archaeological site ! The attack resulted in injuring one of the guards severely ! I am left in disbelieve with this, I mean what political agenda are these attackers trying to promote ? Does this go under the title of "demanding for human rights" which some believe is their right only and if your against them than you don't deserve it ? This is evident in one of the human rights societies defending the attackers (Criminals) and totally ignoring the real victim ! What about the bloody warden ? what about his rights ? Or is it because he is of Indian origin ?
This takes us to the second attack ! A Pan Arab society "Nationalist Democratic Society (NDS) " decides to have a reception for Saddam Hussian's death, so what happens ? Another Molotov attack, isn't having your own opinion about something and celebrating it freely, the major pillar of democracy ? Or is it not considered democracy if it's against your beliefs ? Those who claim that they are defending their rights as humans and believe in democracy should respect fellow human beings and the opposing beliefs ! I don't know how to even finish this bloody post ! This is depressing ! :x

you know Munther, part of the problem here is that they don't have good laws here against these ppl. every day you read about someone getting off w/out any real punishment, you see these ppl getting out of jail after doing horrible things because their momma and pappa are complaining and crying to the police, you have ppl not showing up to court and only getting a slap on the wrist - there isn't any justice or fear of being prosecuted... ppl aren't afraid. when you have ppl thumbing their noses at the judicial system, what do you expect? look at the courts here... it's really a joke. no wonder ppl get away w/ all the crap they do... but i still disagree w/ it and feel that big punishment should come down on these ppl.

I fully agree with Tooners, spot on. This is exactly what we need. People need to think before acting. No one should be above the law and as tooners said, crying shouldn't stop culprits from getting punished.
Let's hope this nonesense stops.

Hey tooners...
I agree with you on the punishment not being enough to stop those criminals from doing such acts ! Another thing which annoys me is the VERY bias blogging over here.
People who claim that they are not sectarian and call for a united Bahrain, would post about things which makes their sect look as the victims "WE know the problem, and doing so just bloody breaks us apart" and totally ignore things like for example the Warden attack, to keep with the victim image! I am Not gonna point any fingers at anybody fellow bloggers, they know who they are ! All what I can say is SHAME on THEM !

i read about this warden attack and was surprised that no one posted and was glad you did. maybe i've missed others who have written about it, but i don't think so. i've wanted to write about things i read in the paper, but because i'm not from here and don't have a deep understanding of things, i figure it's best said by ppl that know. just like that bahraini guy who beat his sister w/ a wooden plank, denied it, and only was fined BD40 for it. these type of crimes are ridiculous and what i meant about ppl getting away w/ all sorts of things. ppl aren't afraid of things here and they need to be. only then will you see this stuff, including the warden attacks, stopping.

Thank god somebody noticed it too ! I was thinking that I was going mad ! :x And yeah, the only way to fix this is to establish a sterner judicial system !
